Napoleon was exiled to the island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean. He spent six years there writing his memoirs, before he died on May 1821 of a chronic stomach ailment.
The Dalai Lama expressed confidence. "I'm an optimist, I think I will return to Tibet with a Chinese passport," the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader said.
